Vipers Bugloss 500g

Viper’s bugloss, a brilliant blue wildflower, produces a versatile liquid honey that has mild sweetness and a hint of zesty tang. These handy 500g size's would only last about a week in our house, so if this is a special pot just for you then 500g should do it, but if the whole family are honey lovers we recommend our 1kg value jar!

The five-petaled flowers of viper’s bugloss begin as pink buds, opening up to reveal vivid blue flowers with bright red stamens, loved by bees. They produce a good honey flow when most other nectar sources have dried up for the year. The unusual name refers to the seed, which resembles a viper’s head and has long been known as a folk remedy for snakebite.

Our honey orders are packed in recycled and reused cardboard, however, if this is a sweet treat for someone, please let us know and we will do our best to make it look special. Handwritten notes can be added too.
